Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP)
About The Position
Dungarvin assists people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and/or mental health diagnosis in a variety of programs with a focus on person centered practices. Embrace the opportunity to positively change someone’s life! This is a full-time schedule, 6a-2p Monday through Friday. Wage: $18.50 per hour with $2 per hour weekend differential.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years working with individuals with disabilities
- A minimum of one year of lead staff experience in a caregiving environment
- Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must have reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have good decision making, communication, and time management skills
- Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions without direct supervision
- Must have basic computer skills
- A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in residential services preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating a variety of services including, but not limited to individual finances, activities, program services, family involvement, education/vocational programs, health care/nutrition, and household management.
- Responsible for staff scheduling and assisting the Program Director in maintaining consistency in programming, individual care, and communication with staff and support team members.
- Carry out the responsibilities and duties of direct support staff during all direct care shifts.
