About The Position

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Lead Digital Engineer / MBSE Architect to build infrastructure for the USSF Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) -in Colorado Springs, CO. NOTE: This is a proposal position and considered a Key Personnel (KP) role on the program. Award is expected in Summer 2026. Position Summary: The Lead Digital Engineer / MBSE Architect for USSF OTTI serves as the senior technical authority responsible for OTTI’s digital engineering strategy, model-based systems engineering (MBSE) implementation, digital thread architecture, and integration of authoritative data/model repositories across the OTTI ecosystem. This role enables model-driven architecture, systems-of-systems analysis, digital twin development, and mission engineering to support U.S. Space Force test, training, and readiness modernization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years systems engineering / digital engineering experience.
  • 5+ years leading MBSE / digital engineering implementations.
  • Experience with enterprise digital thread / model integration.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with USSF / SSC / STARCOM / SpOC / DoD Digital Engineering efforts.
  • Familiarity with: Cameo / MagicDraw / Sparx / Rhapsody / Capella SysML / UAF / DoDAF / MODAF Ansys / Dassault / Digital Twin Platforms DoD Digital Engineering Strategy Mission Engineering / Functional Mission Analysis

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain OTTI digital engineering architecture and roadmap.
  • Establish digital thread/digital twin framework across OTTI mission systems.
  • Architect integration of Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASOTs) across engineering, operational, and mission data repositories.
  • Lead MBSE methodology implementation using SysML/UAF/DoDAF or similar frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain system, subsystem, and SoS-level architecture models.
  • Enable model-based architecture analysis, traceability, and requirements verification.
  • Support functional mission analysis, operational thread analysis, and mission decomposition.
  • Drive service mapping of operational functions, mission threads, and cyber/RMF relationships.
  • Enable model-based configuration and change management.
  • Serve as digital engineering SME to Government and Program Leadership.
  • Mentor systems engineers/modelers/architects.
  • Conduct model reviews, architecture reviews, and technical governance activities.
