About The Position

BEST Logistics Group is seeking a Weekend Shift Shop Lead for their Fleet Maintenance Department in Kernersville, NC. This role is crucial for supporting the company's three fleets of trucks, company-owned vehicles, and equipment. The Shop Lead will provide top-level customer service and communication to drivers and operations teams, ensuring the fleet operates safely and efficiently. The weekend shift runs from 5 AM to 5 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a lead/supervisory role within a tractor-trailer maintenance department
• General knowledge of preventative maintenance for Class 8 Tractor Trailers
• Good communication skills (verbal, electronic - email, phone, text) and listening skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, and general Google researching)
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage tasks until they are complete
• Knowledge of FMCSA maintenance guidelines
• Good customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Order parts as needed
• Handle breakdown calls during shift hours
• Provide guidance, assistance, and training to technicians
• Assign, monitor, and evaluate work
• Perform other duties and tasks as needed
