Lead Diesel Technician: Weekend Shift (2)
About The Position
BEST Logistics Group is now seeking a Weekend Shift Shop Lead for our Kernersville Fleet Maintenance Department. Best Fleet Maintenance in Kernersville, NC is seeking a leader for our fast-paced shop, supporting the 3 fleets of trucks owned and operated by BEST Logistics Group, along with all of our company-owned vehicles and equipment. The Shop Lead position is imperative in providing top-level customer service and communications to our drivers & operations teams, as well as ensuring the fleet is operating safely and efficiently. Weekend shift runs 5a to 5p, Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
Requirements
- Must have 2+ years of experience in a lead/supervisory role within a tractor-trailer maintenance department
- General knowledge of preventative maintenance for Class 8 Tractor Trailers
- Be a good communicator – both verbally, and electronically (Email, phone call and text) and with good listening skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Teams and Outlook and general Google researching)
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage tasks until they are complete
- Knowledge of FMCSA maintenance guidelines
- Good customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Order parts as needed
- Handle breakdown calls during shift hours
- Provide guidance, assistance, and training to our technicians
- Assign, monitor, and evaluate work
- Perform other duties and tasks as needed
