About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer for a significant technical development program focused on delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. This role offers the opportunity to develop robust systems and software leveraging cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Operating within a DevOps framework, you will be involved in and/or lead major deliverables across the entire software development lifecycle, including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation to ensure the continuous operation of mission-critical services, typically involving one full calendar week of on-call duty every two months.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Expert in Linux operating system usage
  • Expert in using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform
  • Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
  • Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as J-unit
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo
  • Experience scripting and using AWS services including Cloudformation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc.
  • Experience with Nexus administration
  • Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Well versed with using version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Agile development methods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration, deployment, and scaling in a production environment
  • Proficiency in building, managing, and optimizing containerized applications using CI/CD pipelines, along with knowledge of container registries and security best practices
  • Experience working in the Sponsor’s cloud environments
  • Experience with Nexus administration and maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Create and publish standard operating procedures for developers, database administrators, and customer support personnel.
  • Perform full lifecycle management of CI/CD pipelines, including modifications to pipeline stages, dependency management, etc.
  • Act on PO&AMs and CVEs reported by the ISSE by patching dependencies in the SBOM.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and leadership for current/new operations and engineering personnel.
  • Harden operating systems with STIG or other ISSM guidance.
  • Automate currently manual deployment procedures on legacy systems.
  • Provide Tier III & IV technical support and leadership in a complex mission environment.
