About The Position

The Design Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading electrical design and integration efforts for complex hardware platforms. This role provides strong technical ownership across board and subsystem design, drives issue resolution, and ensures electrical solutions align to overall system architecture, performance targets, manufacturability requirements, and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical design and development of complex hardware systems.
  • Strong expertise in board-level design, electrical integration, hardware debug, and engineering problem solving.
  • Experience with server, storage, networking, or high-complexity compute platforms is required.
  • Working knowledge of system architecture, manufacturability considerations, and cross-functional development processes.
  • Ability to lead technical decisions and align multiple engineering disciplines toward successful execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical subsystem design and technical execution across one or more product platforms, including architecture alignment, schematic decisions, and design tradeoffs.
  • Translate system requirements into electrical design strategy and drive execution through design reviews, technical alignment, and milestone readiness.
  • Own investigation and closure of complex electrical issues during bring-up, integration, validation, and manufacturing ramp.
  • Guide power, signal, and interface design decisions to ensure robust system performance and product quality.
  • Collaborate with architecture, firmware, mechanical, thermal, validation, and manufacturing teams to drive integrated solutions to technical problems.
  • Provide technical leadership in root cause analysis, corrective action definition, ECO readiness, and risk reduction activities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of design guidelines, reusable methods, and engineering best practices.
  • Support customer and leadership reviews by clearly communicating technical direction, key risks, design status, and resolution plans.
