Join us on our mission to shape the future of our industry. We are looking for an experienced Lead Deployment Architect who can develop detailed blueprints for successful customer deployments. Additionally, you’ll create repeatable blueprints that become the templates for all customer deployments. These will be used to develop our services practices, to enable our delivery teams, our partner teams, and our customers to deploy our secondary storage solutions applications. The ideal candidate is someone who has considerable experience architecting, documenting, deploying, and enabling others. These practices will utilize the architecture sold by our account teams to achieve customer-committed solutions. In addition to building these solutions, this role will also spend considerable time validating these procedures in the field and teaching partners and customers how to apply these in their environment. In this role, you will be working with engineering, systems engineers, tech marketing specialists, and customer support to build out professional services practices starting with the architectural blueprint that covers installation, integration, applications, migration, scripting (automation) to be used by delivery teams, partners and customers. You will also contribute to scalable documentation and repeatable practices that help customers, partners, and internal teams implement solutions consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
  • 10+ years of professional IT experience.
  • Hands-on experience with: Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, Citrix) Linux/Unix Oracle and SQL Storage platforms (Isilon, NetApp, Pure) Data protection, disaster recovery, data management Public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Deep expertise in workflow documentation, BPMN modeling, and structured analysis.
  • Strong ability to influence leaders and drive alignment across diverse technical and non‑technical groups.
  • Exceptional communication — able to simplify complexity, bring structure to ambiguity, and drive clear decision‑making.
  • Experience working alongside architects and engineering teams on complex, multi‑system deployments.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously, manage multiple high‑visibility initiatives, and elevate organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver architecture and professional services to Cohesity customers, building strong relationships with key customer and internal teams.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand organizational needs and map Cohesity’s capabilities to their objectives.
  • Write, document, and validate deployment architectures, ensuring designs meet sizing, performance, and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Solutions, engineering, and delivery teams to bridge technology capabilities with customer needs and ensure smooth knowledge transfer.
  • Maintain alignment across teams by creating and updating JIRA user stories.
  • Ensure deployment designs are successfully delivered by partnering closely with implementation and engineering teams.
  • Create high-quality knowledge base articles, best practices, and deployment documentation (runbooks, templates, post‑deployment guides).
  • Continuously improve deployment designs and documentation as products evolve, inspecting deliverables for quality and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Convert deployment designs into training materials and deliver hands‑on training in small group formats.
  • Conduct field beta testing of new deployment designs and provide actionable feedback to Implementation Engineers, Systems Engineers, and engineering teams.
