About The Position

The Lead Data System Developer supports the Program/Data Analyst with complex custom software development and integration, Army system integration, and ATO navigation. The role leads the software development team and supports coding, testing, and documentation. The position analyzes and troubleshoots information system requirements related to logistics, supply, inventory, and readiness management programs. It supports data integration between Government systems and organizational reporting tools; identifies data sources, reporting methodologies, and analytical techniques to improve data collection and reporting; and assists with testing, validation, and implementation of data management solutions. The role also handles data extraction, cleaning, analysis under senior guidance, and reporting. The position is full-time and exempt, located in Huntsville, Alabama, with minimal travel required. The selected candidate must possess or be able to obtain and maintain Government installation access credentials and security requirements for contract performance, potentially including a NACLC/Tier 3 background investigation as required by the Government.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
At least four years of experience in software development, business intelligence, information management, logistics analysis, or related analytical disciplines.
Experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytical products using Microsoft Office and specialized logistics software.
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Knowledge of data analytics principles, reporting methodologies, and performance measurement techniques.
Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and operational risks through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and other reporting platforms.
Ability to communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of database concepts, data management practices, and data governance principles.
Ability to manage multiple projects and reporting requirements in a dynamic operational environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain Government installation access credentials and security requirements necessary for contract performance; this may include a NACLC/Tier 3 background investigation, as required by the Government.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting the U.S. Army Aviation and Missiles Command (AMCOM) Logistics Center (ALC) Supply Chain Management Directorate (SCMD).
Familiarity with the Army Aviation and Missiles Command (AMCOM).
Experience developing Power BI dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and executive analytics products.
Knowledge of Army and DoD data management policies, software development, and business intelligence practices.
