About The Position

Jerry Service Inc. seeks a Lead Data Scientist to drive the design and development of A/B tests, lead the development of attribution models, synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations, develop cross-functional initiatives to optimize the customer journey, provide guidance and support to team members, and stay up-to-date with industry trends. The role involves analyzing complex data for trends and patterns, interpreting data with clear business objectives, and providing strategic actionable insights. The Lead Data Scientist will lead research projects recommending business strategies, partner with the business on investments and product decisions, drive metrics definition and management, and develop sophisticated reports and visualizations. They will leverage analytical modeling techniques to increase customer experiences, revenue generation, efficiency, and other business outcomes. The position also includes leading collaboration with other data scientists to evolve machine learning models, mentoring junior team members, and leading the implementation of analytical models in production. Other duties as assigned. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Domestic travel may be required less than 5% of the time for company off-sites.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other closely related degrees
  • 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
  • 5 years of MBB consulting experience
  • 3 years of experience in scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.) or statistical packages (R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
  • 2 years of experience in Advanced proficiency and hands-on experience with SQL
  • 2 years of experience in Proven experience in designing and implementing A/B tests and other user research

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and development of A/B tests on app features and user experience, and advise on best practices
  • Lead the development of attribution models to measure the impact of marketing activities on customer acquisition and retention
  • Synthesize complex data into clear and actionable recommendations for senior leadership
  • Develop cross-functional initiatives to optimize the entire customer journey and enhance overall conversion rates and customer acquisition
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging strategies to guide and educate the team
  • Analyze complex data for trends and patterns, interpreting data with clear business objectives in mind and providing strategic actionable insights
  • Lead the production of research projects that recommend business strategies, partnering with the business to advise on investments and product decisions
  • Drive metrics definition and management, in collaboration with the business and data engineers
  • Develop sophisticated reports and visualizations for business use, leveraging your understanding of the business and what it wants to achieve, and provide guidance to other team members
  • Leverage analytical modeling techniques to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, efficiency, and other business outcomes
  • As needed, lead collaboration with other data scientists to evolve, optimize, and integrate machine learning models, and mentor junior team members
  • Lead the implementation of analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers and providing technical expertise
