About The Position

Bugfest is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Data Scientist to lead the development of data-driven products, models, and analytical strategies that help shape our business and customer experiences. In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with leadership and business judgment to identify opportunities, translate complex problems into measurable solutions, and guide data science initiatives from experimentation through production. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to build predictive models, design experiments, analyze large and complex datasets, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in statistics and machine learning, experience with Python and modern data science tools, and a proven ability to mentor other data scientists while setting high standards for analytical rigor, reproducibility, and impact. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, influencing strategy, and turning data into practical business outcomes. The position is based in Dallas, Texas, with collaboration across multiple teams at Bugfest.
