About The Position

Requirements

• 8+ years in data privacy, with hands-on regulatory operationalization (PIPEDA/CCPA/CPA-class regimes), not policy advisory alone.
• Demonstrated ownership of a privacy platform implementation (e.g. BigID, OneTrust, Securiti, or equivalent) - discovery, classification, DSAR fulfillment, retention.
• Enterprise data architecture fluency: structured and unstructured scanning, cataloging, lineage, and cloud data estates.
• Proven stakeholder command at CPO/DPO level; able to drive decisions without over-escalating.
• Consulting-grade delivery rigor: requirements traceability, design documentation, UAT governance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation skills are needed
• Ability to work with onsite and offshore teams across different timezones
• Useful for managing timelines and deliverables during tool migrations and privacy initiatives.

• Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT.

Responsibilities

• Own Privacy function design across capabilities such as: Data Discovery, DSAR, Retention, Vendor / 3rd Party Mgmt, and AI governance.
• Convert regulatory and policy requirements across multiple North American jurisdictions into testable platform configurations
• Design functional integrations of Data Privacy platform (such as BigID) with enterprise systems (e.g., Active Directory, cloud storage, databases, ticketing tools).
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Data Privacy platform (such as BigID) for domains such as Data Discovery, DSAR, Retention, Vendor / 3rd Party Mgmt., and AI governance.
• Own functional traceability of requirements from design to testing. Own the delivery lifecycle of functional requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to understand existing enterprise processes and recommend privacy by design principles to embed
• Collaborate with privacy, legal, and IT teams to align BigID capabilities with regulatory requirements
• Provide technical documentation, training, and support to internal stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and manage upgrades or new feature rollouts.
