  • Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and medallion architecture
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or another scripting language
  • A solid understanding of data modeling and historical data tracking — able to design data pipelines that accurately reflect how data changes over time
  • Experience building or moving to a modern lakehouse from ADF, SSIS, Informatica, or a similar ETL tool
  • Experience using Git-based version control for data pipelines or ETL code
  • Experience leading projects and helping junior engineers grow
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a small team

  • Experience leading a greenfield build or major data platform rebuild is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the rebuild of Ampacity’s data platform from design through implementation
  • Stabilize and maintain existing Azure Data Factory pipelines while leading their migration into the new Databricks lakehouse

  • Partner with business and technology teams to understand their data needs
  • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipeline or performance issues
