About The Position

The Lead Data Engineer will lead and support the design, development, and delivery of complex data engineering and AI-ready data solutions across the enterprise data ecosystem. This role will work closely with Product Engineers, Data Engineers, business-facing leads, architects, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data and AI solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Client
• Expertise in SQL and Python
• Experience with Nexla ETL/ELT platform
• Apache Airflow (DAG development, scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting)
• Data modeling, performance tuning, and scalable data processing
• Experience supporting enterprise data platforms
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar AI tools
• Understanding of LLMs, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering
• Experience building AI-ready data architectures
• Experience supporting Machine Learning and Generative AI workloads

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions.
• Design, build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT pipelines using Client, Nexla, SQL, and Python.
• Develop and manage Apache Airflow jobs, DAGs, and schedules.
• Design AI-ready data architectures supporting analytics, ML, LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, AI/ML, Analytics, and Business teams.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and problem-solving sessions.
• Mentor team members and promote AI-assisted development practices.
• Support Agile delivery and coordinate work across distributed teams.
