Lead Data Analyst which supports the operation, maintenance and/or construction of the utility system by maintaining, reporting, analyzing data, and providing system administrator role for a number of data systems within their assigned area. Lead Data Analyst level is expected to demonstrate advanced skills and be considered an expert in their discipline. They must combine an extensive knowledge of the data system functionality and data maintained within the supported database systems. They will have extensive knowledge of the asset data systems and the business processes and procedures in which the data represents. They work with minimal supervision and increased latitude for unreviewed work, working independently, in teams, and in a non-supervisory role providing technical work to other department employees. Provides lead role in the data quality processes (data analysis, maintenance, development, audits) to ensure that all the data and applications are delivered consistently, the data management system’s data standards are used, Service Level Agreements are observed, and process improvements are realized to ensure stakeholders in the department receive data and applications that can be fully utilized to maximize their value to the business. Advises and consults with Information Technology and other departments to influence future development of the data and work management systems and associated processes. Assists in evaluating the technical aspects of software purchase decisions, as well as assisting in identifying data requirements for installation of the system at Duke Energy. Assists in testing of such systems to ensure that the new system will function as specified and with other business applications existing at Duke Energy.
