Lead Data/AI Engineering
About The Position
This full-time, onsite role is based in Dallas, Texas and is performed at the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered. The position requires special approval from the Compensation Job Family Owner. The Lead Data/AI Engineer architects, develops, and optimizes scalable, high-performance solutions using software engineering methods and Data & AI technologies. The role turns complex data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making and business growth, working collaboratively with diverse teams. As part of the Revenue Operations Reinvention Lab, the engineer designs, builds, and deploys targeted data and agentic AI solutions to improve Revenue Operations productivity. The work focuses on smaller, high-value use cases outside quarterly enterprise technology roadmaps, with solutions that are secure, maintainable, measurable, and aligned with broader technology architecture. This is an experienced expert role involving complex data engineering and AI work, strategic autonomy, leadership of significant projects, influence on executive decisions, mentorship of less experienced staff, and collaboration with senior leadership.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Certification is required in some areas.
- Demonstrated expertise with Data & AI technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Demonstrated expertise with programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and SQL.
- Knowledge of API development patterns such as HTTP/REST and GraphQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Ability to manage very complex data engineering and AI work and solve major business problems.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired, such as in Computer Science or Scientific Computing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable Data & AI applications using software engineering best practices, including automation, version control, and CI/CD.
- Develop rigorous testing strategies to support application reliability and performance.
- Oversee deployment processes and address configuration, environment, and security issues.
- Translate Data & AI use-case requirements into effective data models and pipelines.
- Ensure data integrity using statistical quality procedures and advanced AI techniques.
- Architect and build secure, scalable microservices and APIs, with attention to usability, security, documentation, and version control.
- Evaluate and select technologies for cloud and on-premise deployments, and implement strategies for scalability, performance monitoring, and cost optimization.
- Partner with Revenue Operations stakeholders to identify and prioritize workflow bottlenecks, repetitive tasks, and decision-support needs suitable for focused data, automation, or agentic AI solutions.
- Own end-to-end delivery of targeted Revenue Operations data and agentic AI solutions, from use-case discovery and rapid prototyping through controlled deployment, measurement, documentation, and operational handoff.
- Align solutions with enterprise platforms, architecture, and governance requirements.
- Lead significant projects, mentor less experienced staff, and contribute to long-term plans affecting the organization.
