About The Position
The Lead Cytologist is a member of the Pathology staff with demonstrated expertise in Cytology, who acts as a resource for employees in Cytology. The Lead Cytologist resolves problems with specimens and personnel as needed. They prepare specimens and screen slides for abnormalities for referral to the pathologist.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Science - Required or Bachelor's Degree - Required
- 3 years Laboratory - Cytotechnologist – Required
- Cytotechnologist - CT (ASCP) American Society of Clinical Pathology Certification – Required
Responsibilities
- Acts as a resource for employees in Cytology.
- Resolves problems with specimens and personnel as needed.
