About The Position

Tidewater Community College (TCC) is seeking to fill two Lead Custodian positions at its Virginia Beach Campus. TCC has been a significant educational and economic force in South Hampton Roads for 50 years, serving nearly 25,000 students and providing workforce services. The college operates across four campuses and various centers, with a strong commitment to student success and transfer pathways. This role is designated as essential and may require reporting to work during college closures. These positions are funded by restricted funding.

• Reports any problems to Managers when necessary.

• Assist Custodial Manager in selecting, training, supervising and evaluating other housekeepers.

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for college facilities.
• Includes trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and black/white-board cleaning.
• Provides room set-up/take-down assistance as assigned.
• Performs other cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Maintains and demonstrates good attendance habits.
• Reports any problems to Managers when necessary.
• Assists Custodial Manager in selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating other housekeepers.
