Lead CT Technologist, CT Scan Department, Baptist South
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Full-Time Lead CT Technologist to join our CT Scan Department at our Baptist South Location. This is a full-time position with shifts of Monday – Friday. As a CT Technologist at Baptist, you will work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety, as this aligns with our mission to make hope, healing, and well-being accessible to every person as an expression of God's love. Our CT Technologists are dedicated to delivering high-quality imaging services, ensuring both the comfort and safety of patients, and will thrive in a collaborative environment. Additional responsibilities of our CT technologists include operating and calibrating of GE equipment, preparing patients for their procedures which include administering IV contrast & patient positioning, providing clear explanations & education about the process, and ensuring the compliance with all regulatory standards.
Requirements
- 3-5 Years of experience working in a hospital setting
- 1-2 years of Radiology Experience
- Customer Service Experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
- Registered Technologist in Computer Tomography ARRT (CT) Required
- Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
Nice To Haves
- If hired, must pass certification in Computed Tomography from the ARDMS or ARRT (CT) within 18 months of hire date.
Responsibilities
- Performing high quality (CT) procedures in accordance to established protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during exams.
- Operate CT equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Educate patients on the CT process and answer any patient questions.
