About The Position

The Lead CCT will work in collaboration with the unit leadership to promote a positive work environment by facilitating teamwork, coordinated patient care, unit initiatives and projects for non-licensed personal. Will schedule and perform duties of a CCT. Maintain a satisfactory performance evaluation and is interested and willing to be a Team leader. Should be a role model in hourly rounding and handoff and available to coach and validate other non-licensed personnel in these expected behaviors. Will function as an informal leader and assist unit leadership in holding non-licensed personal accountable for core values. Will assist unit leadership with non-licensed personal scheduling. Will be an advocate and help drive organizational initiatives. Will be active members of the Tech Engagement Committee and attend greater than 50% of the meetings. Kelemen 8 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, illnesses and disease processes. North and South 8 have telemetry capabilities for our patients. Kelemen 8 has frequent admissions and discharges. Kelemen 8 can accept a total of 77 patients. The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room. There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family.

Requirements

  • High School/GED required.
  • Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training.
  • Active Patient Care Technician Certification.
  • AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Successful completion of CPCT-A certification.
  • Meet all requirements of a Certified Critical Care Tech.
  • Exemplify informal leadership qualities and initiatives.
  • Promote positive working environment by facilitating teamwork.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and set priorities appropriately.
