About The Position

Responsible for administering and providing oversight for a wide variety of credit and collection functions. Ensures compliance with established guidelines, guidelines reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts. Oversees the process of gathering, compiling, and maintaining basic credit information. Maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files. Sets up and/or obtains approval to set up new accounts and/or job accounts. Responds to all communications and requests for assistance from the branches in a timely manner. Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior level associates. Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process. Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior level associates.

Requirements

  • Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Commercial construction industry collection experience in the NY market - REQUIRED
  • Experience with Oracle and getpaid - Preferred
  • Lien and Bond claim experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Experience training, coaching, and developing team members
  • Experience following clearly defined policies and procedures
  • Must be good working with customers (potential for customer facing)
