About The Position

Under the supervision of the Count Room Manager, the incumbent, either personally or through subordinates, is responsible for the collection, sorting, counting and recording of gaming results and the overall operation and maintenance of the Count Room and currency counting equipment. The Lead Count Room Attendant provides excellent customer service to all employees and vendors in all situations. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Indiana Grand Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Regulations. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to two (1-2) years supervising money room or count room; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Ability to handle non-standard situations where some judgment is required.
  • Ability to operate computer and software programs.
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to effectively supervise subordinates.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to obtain an Indiana Gaming License.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work various shifts, weekends or holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and sitting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computerized casino/hospitality software system.
  • Experience with currency counting equipment.
  • Experience with 10-key adding machine.
