Lead Counselor – Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
About The Position
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking an experienced Lead Counselor to support our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role combines direct clinical care with program leadership responsibilities, serving as a clinical resource for the treatment team while helping ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. High Focus Centers is a leading provider of outpatient mental health and substance use treatment throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Through our specialized programs—Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope—we provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adults and adolescents facing mental health and co-occurring disorders.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, clinical documentation, and multidisciplinary care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in an Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or similar behavioral health setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for counselors within the Adult PHP program.
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments and evaluate clients to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Develop DSM-5-TR diagnoses and collaborate with the treatment team to create individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.
- Maintain a reduced caseload while providing clinical support to ensure continuity of care and program coverage.
- Assist the Program Director with day-to-day clinical operations and workflow.
- Review clinical documentation and support compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and promote a safe, therapeutic treatment environment.
- Contribute to program development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
