Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or other behavioral health-related field.
  • Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners Associate-level licensure (LMSW, LAC, or LAMFT).
  • Experience in prevention, crisis intervention, education, and treatment.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in dealing with alcohol and substance abuse issues.
  • A command of systems used to deliver quality programs and data, including database software and Microsoft Office.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of counseling theories, evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and holistic recovery principles.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and recovery stages.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and case management skills.
  • Exceptional active listening skills and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • A solid and credible Christian witness and lifestyle that exemplifies Christ in character and actions.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a faith-based, social service, shelter-based, or behavioral health setting.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising professionals in a social service setting.
  • Knowledge of non-profit health and human services for homeless populations.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients using evidence-based counseling theories, approaches, and interventions while carrying and managing an advanced client caseload.
  • Prepare and facilitate therapeutic groups and psychoeducational classes to support client engagement, recovery, and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and provide timely support, guidance, and crisis response as needed to ensure continuity of care and operational support.
  • Provide behavioral health oversight, mentorship, and guidance to unlicensed clinicians, interns, Recovery Coaches, and counseling staff to ensure ethical, clinical, and professional standards are maintained.
  • Assist with staff trainings and development opportunities to strengthen clinical knowledge, professional growth, and service delivery standards.
  • Lead and support clinical campus activities that promote self-care, community engagement, wellness, and healthy social connections among clients.
  • Support client accountability and growth by providing guidance, corrective interventions, crisis support, and encouragement throughout the treatment process.
  • Facilitate campus tours and program overviews as needed to support organizational awareness, partnership engagement, and community relations.
  • Model and promote Christ-centered care by engaging in discipleship, encouraging biblical principles, participating in ministry activities, and demonstrating a credible Christian witness in professional practice.
