About The Position

The Lead Corporate Development Analyst is a high-level individual contributor who applies broad expertise in financial modeling, valuation, mergers and acquisitions, total internal consolidated financials, and long-range forecasting to shape enterprise-level strategic and capital allocation decisions. Working on significant and often unprecedented issues, they build and own complex integrated financial models, evaluate acquisition opportunities, and interpret consolidated financials, long-range forecasts, and key financial metrics. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, coordinating across internal departments and external advisors. Balancing deep technical rigor with strategic insight, they translate sophisticated analysis into clear, persuasive recommendations and present directly to executive leadership, influencing outcomes that impact the short- and long-term goals of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree at the manager’s discretion.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial modeling, valuation, and financial analysis, including significant exposure to mergers and acquisitions or corporate development required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and owning complex, integrated financial models and performing valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, comparable company, and precedent transaction methods required.
  • Working knowledge of total internal consolidated financials, consolidated financial statements, enterprise financial KPIs, and long-range forecasting, with the ability to translate analysis into strategic recommendations required.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership, with strong executive presence and presentation skills required.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience gained within private equity, management consulting, or a corporate development / mergers and acquisitions function strongly preferred.
  • MBA, CFA, or comparable postgraduate coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Determine appropriate analytical approaches for ambiguous scenarios where limited precedent exists, and stress-test outcomes against a range of quantitative and intangible variables.
  • Develop and own complex, integrated financial models that evaluate acquisitions and strategic investments, exercising independent judgment in the assumptions, methods, and evaluation criteria applied.
  • Lead internal and external valuation analyses using discounted cash flow, comparable company, precedent transaction, and accretion/dilution methodologies to inform enterprise-level decisions.
  • Analyze total internal consolidated financials, consolidated financial statements, and enterprise financial KPIs to surface trends, risks, and opportunities that influence the short- and long-term goals of the organization.
  • Design analytical frameworks, dashboards, and reporting that translate complex financial data into actionable insight for leadership.
  • Interpret intangible and quantitative factors to develop recommendations that shape capital allocation, and long-range strategic planning.
  • Drive financial due diligence and deal analysis across the transaction lifecycle, coordinating inputs across functional groups to shape acquisition and investment recommendations.
  • Evaluate strategic fit, synergies, and integration implications of potential transactions, translating findings into clear recommendations for executive decision-makers.
  • Establish and maintain formal networks with internal stakeholders and external advisors to source, assess, and advance corporate development opportunities.
  • Present modeling results, valuation conclusions, and transaction recommendations directly to executive leadership, demonstrating the executive presence needed to guide high-stakes discussions.
  • Influence enterprise-level decisions by framing sophisticated financial analysis into clear, persuasive narratives and presentations.
  • Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to align priorities, resolve competing interests, and build consensus on strategic financial initiatives.
