About The Position

The Lead Coordinator, Guest Logistics supports all logistics related to the transportation coordination of guests between key meeting points and CMH staging areas. This role is responsible for leading the coordinator team in Banff, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering a proactive and efficient work environment. This role requires a keen eye for operational details, and an ability to problem solve and adapt to unforeseen circumstances. The Lead Coordinator will support Banff coordinators, lodge teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure that all tasks are completed at high standard.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in supervisory role.
  • Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Experience as a tour guide or group leader, or equivalent experience in the service industry.
  • Integrity, discretion, and critical thinking.
  • Adaptability and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, collaborative working style.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities.
  • Trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed individual.
  • Ability to navigate complex responsibilities.
  • Confidence to interact with all levels of the company.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all exchanges and transfers to and from CMH staging areas and key meeting points.
  • Perform administrative tasks pertaining to guest transfers and exchange day operations.
  • Monitor and process guest and lodge communications related to transportation.
  • Coordinate the on-coach food and beverage program.
  • Act as a point-person for Banff seasonal Transfer Coordinator staff accompanying guests on the coach.
  • Follow-up on guest inquiries with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Problem-solve logistical changes and impacts from road closures and delays.
  • Create exceptional guest moments as the first and last point of contact for the CMH experience.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the coordinator team.
  • Serve as a liaison between team members and upper management.
  • Training of new seasonal staff, providing feedback and support to help team grow.
  • All employees will support the implementation of CMH health and safety and sustainability initiatives and participate in training and provide assistance as required during emergency response situations.
