About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing all food according to the menu, recipes, plate specifications, and guest requests. The Lead Cook ensures that food preparation and service are of the highest quality and meet specified preparation times. This position requires adherence to established quality standards, inventory management, and safety/sanitation procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 18.
  • 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Food handler’s card (HLTH card) and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all food according to the menu, recipes, plate specifications, and guest requests.
  • Ensure food preparation and service are of the highest quality.
  • Meet specified preparation times for all dishes.
  • Inspect equipment, meats, seafood, and produce to ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Maintain established inventory levels and order stock.
  • Ensure proper rotation, storage, and quantity controls of products.
  • Consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist at all respective stations and lines as needed.
  • Read, decipher, and execute cooking procedures and plate presentations based on established recipes and plate specifications.
