About The Position
Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Lead Cook to join our team at the Grand Traverse County Jail in Traverse City, MI. This role involves leading and assisting with meal preparations in a structured correctional environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours (between 9:00 am - 6:00 pm)
- Clearance approval into the facility
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service or kitchen experience would be a plus, but we can train the right person!
Responsibilities
- Lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations including food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up.
- Read and follow company recipes.
- Work in a structured correctional environment.
