About The Position
Tigg's Canteen Services is looking to hire a Permanent Lead Cook for Lapeer County Jail in Lapper MI. This leadership position in Food Service requires integrity, a positive can-do attitude, strong character, and the ability to work in a structured environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours (between 6:00am - 2:00pm)
- Clearance approval into the facility
- Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service or kitchen experience would be a plus, but we can train the right person!
Responsibilities
- Ability to lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations including food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up.
- Ability to read and follow company recipes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
