About The Position

As the Lead Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing food production and assuming the duties of absent Motel Management. You will plan recipes and menus to maintain company standards for food quality, presentation, and cost management. This role includes managing kitchen operations, ensuring sanitation and cleanliness, and training staff in cooking methods and food preparation. Assist in monitoring and coaching kitchen staff, scheduling for caterings and deliveries, and enforcing purchasing specifications and waste control procedures. Train staff on food production principles and ensure adherence to standardized recipes. Evaluate current practices and initiate improvements to enhance product and service quality. You may also be required to fill in as needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Completion of a post-secondary culinary arts training program OR at least two (2) years of experience in food preparation
  • Ability to obtain an Arizona Food Handler’s Card within 1 month of employment
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation
