About The Position
Mercy Retirement Care Center is seeking a Full Time Lead Cook to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing delicious food that meets a variety of dietary needs and ensuring kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling. The Lead Cook will also assist with hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of kitchen staff. Mercy Retirement & Care Center has been a leader in senior care for over 150 years, offering assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services on a beautiful campus in Oakland, CA. Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience as a Cook, Lead Cook, or Sous Chef.
- Ability to prepare therapeutic/modified diet menus.
- Successful completion of recognized food safety course may be required.
Nice To Haves
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
