About The Position
This is a Lead Controls Engineer position with an innovative HVAC Mechanical & Controls company specializing in optimization and central plant solutions. The company has over 130 employees and a strong team-player culture, with two locations in Southern California: Central Orange County and North Los Angeles. This role will establish standardization for the design and drafting team and offers remote flexibility. The position involves participating in job walks.
Requirements
- Expertise in design engineering of Chiller/Central Plants and Retrofit projects.
Nice To Haves
- P.E. or Professional Engineer certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineering teams responsible for the design, development, and release of Controls projects and HVAC projects (depending upon interest/experience).
- Set engineering standardization practices.
- Grow the existing Engineering Department.
- Execute deliverables within a phased-gate development system.
- Help prepare mechanical drawings for construction and city permits working with AutoCAD or MS Visio.
