Join a team that has received numerous awards for being a top place to work: TruStage awards and recognition Job Purpose: The Lead, Innovation Enablement Consultant leads the planning and execution of innovation engagements that advance the Technology Innovation Office’s AI and Automation roadmap. This role partners with leaders across the enterprise to identify, evaluate, and recommend innovation opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and measurable business outcomes. The Lead Consultant plays a critical role in translating business goals into structured initiatives, driving stakeholder alignment, and enabling successful adoption of innovation solutions. This role also mentors junior team members and contributes to the development of Innovation Enablement capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience
  • 7+ years of progressive consulting, business transformation, innovation, or technology experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional engagements from discovery through implementation
  • Experience applying AI, automation, or emerging technologies to business opportunities
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., financial services, insurance, healthcare)
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others; people leadership experience preferred

  • Experience applying lean experimentation, human-centered design, agile delivery, or product discovery practices to identify, validate, and scale innovation opportunities
  • Familiarity with innovation frameworks, change enablement practices, and methods for driving organizational adoption of new technologies

Responsibilities

  • Lead mid-to-large scale engagements for the Technology Innovation Office, including planning, facilitation, and execution
  • Lead discovery activities to assess business challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and define initiative scope, benefits, risks, and success measures
  • Deliver analysis, status reporting, and performance insights that support portfolio management, leadership decision-making, and innovation pipeline governance
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to identify, shape, and prioritize innovation opportunities
  • Facilitate planning, prioritization, and sequencing activities that support execution of Innovation strategies, providing analysis and recommendations to leadership
  • Develop recommendations, value hypotheses, and business cases that support prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Translate business goals and requirements into structured engagements and actionable outputs
  • Manage ongoing relationships to ensure continuity from opportunity identification through implementation
  • Identify and escalate governance, compliance, adoption, and delivery risks; partner with appropriate teams to incorporate responsible innovation practices into engagement planning
  • Analyze engagement outcomes and performance metrics to track business value and adoption
  • Partner with Technology Innovation Office leadership to monitor progress and identify risks or issues
  • Escalate challenges and coordinate resolution to ensure successful delivery of outcomes
  • Develop executive-ready communications, presentations, and engagement materials that support stakeholder alignment and innovation adoption.
  • Design and execute stakeholder engagement, change enablement, and adoption activities that support successful implementation and value realization.
  • Guide the development and delivery of innovation literacy, AI awareness, and enablement activities that help teams adopt innovation tools, methods, and practices.
  • Promote awareness, understanding, and adoption of innovation capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Mentor and coach Consultants to support skill development and delivery effectiveness
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and support to enhance team capability and engagement quality
