Lead Consultant, BIM
About The Position
Ramboll is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Consultant to join their Environment & Health Department. This role involves a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality 3D models and digital products that support planning, design, renovation, and operations for various facilities. The BIM Consultant will be part of Ramboll’s innovation and digital transformation team, Galago, collaborating with architects, engineers, GIS specialists, and construction professionals. This position is ideal for a BIM professional who enjoys translating reality-capture data into well-coordinated Revit models and contributing directly to project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Geomatics, GIS, Architecture, or similar)
- 5+ years of professional experience in BIM-related roles
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination practices, digital delivery processes, and industry standards, including familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud / Autodesk Forma and model coordination workflows
- Practical experience with Scan-to-BIM workflows and reality capture technologies, such as 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse project teams
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to GIS software and spatial data integration is a plus
Responsibilities
- Create accurate, well-structured 3D BIM models of buildings, utilities, and physical environments using reality-capture data (laser scanning, photogrammetry)
- Process, analyze, and manage LiDAR-derived point clouds in support of Scan-to-BIM workflows
- Perform model coordination and quality control using Revit, Navisworks, and related platforms
- Apply and communicate BIM standards, LOD requirements, and Scan-to-BIM best practices to project teams and stakeholders
- Recommend and implement BIM and CAD workflows tailored to specific project needs and delivery requirements
