About The Position

The Lead Construction Safety Manager will provide field-focused safety oversight for an approximately one-year facility upgrade project at the Amgen facility in New Albany, Ohio. The project scope includes compressed air and laboratory upgrades within an active facility. The Safety Manager will work with the general contractor (GC) and subcontractors to support construction safety requirements and ensure subcontractor compliance. The position is listed as a 1099 contractor role, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 40–50 hours per week. The start is ASAP. The successful candidate will provide consistent site safety oversight, maintain strong Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices, perform site inspections, support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and conduct or participate in safety meetings. Pay is listed at $57 per hour for travel and $60 per hour for local candidates, with $125 per day per diem and weekly pay.

Requirements

Safety Lead experience working with a general contractor and overseeing subcontractors.
OSHA 500 or OSHA 510.
Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and construction safety.
Working knowledge of subcontractor safety compliance, JHAs, site safety inspections, safety meetings, and GC and subcontractor safety oversight.
