About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Configuration Manager to join our team in Doral, FL. MANTECH is a trusted partner to the Department of Defense, delivering cutting-edge projects in areas like Cybersecurity, IT, and Data Analytics. This role will support the establishment and maintenance of consistent and reliable system configurations, contributing to the nation's defense through advanced technology and innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field and Five (5) or more years of configuration management experience.
  • OR an associate’s degree and Seven (7) years of configuration management experience
  • OR a high school diploma and Nine (9) years of configuration management experience.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Familiarity with change management processes.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with software and hardware lifecycles.
  • Experience with automation or tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Relevant configuration management certifications (e.g., CMII).
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar security certification.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of consistent and reliable system configurations. Possess a solid understanding of configuration management principles and a developing skillset in configuration identification, control, and auditing.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of configuration management plans and procedures, ensuring adherence to organizational standards. Participate in configuration audits, analyzing configuration data, and contributing to the identification of areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating configuration information and supporting the integration of configuration management processes into the development lifecycle.
  • Support configuration management databases (CMDB), version control systems, and change management processes.
  • Manage lifecycle replacement activities, ensuring configuration management (CM) requirements and operational priorities remain fully synchronized throughout planning, implementation, and transition.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of operational needs, priorities, and constraints; collaborate closely with operations teams to coordinate configuration changes and minimize service disruption.
  • Apply project management practices to plan, track, and coordinate CM-related tasks, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across data, software, and hardware configuration domains.
