About The Position

FORVIA - HELLA is seeking its next great Lead Compensation and Benefits specialist to join our human resources team. The primary function of this role is to support our dynamic employee compensation and benefit packages. This individual will be joining a well-established group that is focused on supporting our internal associates. FORVIA - HELLA is a listed, internationally positioned automotive supplier operating under the umbrella brand FORVIA. Within this factual group, HELLA stands for high-performance lighting technology and automotive electronics. At the same time, the Company covers a broad service and product portfolio for the spare parts and workshop business as well as for manufacturers of special-purpose vehicles with its Lifecycle Solutions business group. HELLA has around 36,000 employees at more than 125 locations worldwide and generated sales of €4.4 billion in the seven-month short fiscal year 2022.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in U.S. compensation and benefits roles, ideally in a global manufacturing or automotive setting.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment and benefits regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday).
  • Experience with compensation survey tools (WTW, Mercer) and job evaluation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with global and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration and evolution of U.S. employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, wellness, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships and escalated employee benefit issues.
  • Oversee compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Guide open enrollment planning, execution, and employee communication efforts.
  • Own the implementation and ongoing administration of compensation programs, including annual merit cycles, incentive plans, and equity programs (if applicable).
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and job evaluations using global and regional market data (e.g., WTW, Mercer).
