Lead Community Participation Instructor - Full Time-Carlisle
About The Position
The Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties (CPARC) is seeking a full time Lead Community Participation Instructor for our Community Fusion program located in Carlisle. This day program serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Community Fusion is a day program that was designed as a transitional program for individuals with disabilities to assist them in becoming active citizens in their community. Participants can choose from a variety of activities throughout the day. The Community Participation Instructor will assist these participants in a range of activities of their choice, including community involvement. This is a full-time position working weekday/daytime hours at $17.17 per hour. Openings located in Carlisle.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities OR an Associate's Degree (or 60 credit hours from an accredited college) and 4 years of experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities.
- Must be physically able to care for the participants in the program.
- Must possess a valid PA driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Takes a lead role in providing supervision of program participant activities, and instruction in program components.
- Acts as a resource and team leader for other Community Participation Instructors.
- Assist participants in a range of activities of their choice, including community involvement.
