About The Position

FST Technical Services is seeking a Lead Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning for a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing facility build in Santa Clara, California. This full-time leadership role manages multidisciplinary commissioning activities and ensures critical facility infrastructure and systems are installed, tested, commissioned, and turned over in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. The manager coordinates closely with the owner, construction management, engineering teams, contractors, equipment vendors, and other project stakeholders. The role leads commissioning teams across mechanical, electrical, controls, and process utility systems, from construction completion and pre-functional testing through functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, and final turnover. The manager develops commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and project-specific strategies; allocates resources; resolves technical and schedule challenges; and supports readiness reviews, mechanical completion, and turnover acceptance. The position oversees commissioning of semiconductor facility infrastructure such as cleanroom environmental controls, HVAC, heating and cooling systems, electrical distribution and emergency power, building automation and facility monitoring systems, process gases and utilities, UPW, compressed dry air, vacuum, exhaust, abatement, fire protection, and life-safety systems. It also coordinates interfaces between base-build infrastructure, process utilities, and manufacturing equipment support systems. The Lead Commissioning Manager maintains schedules, leads coordination meetings, tracks progress and issues, manages test procedures and turnover documentation, and reports progress, risks, manpower needs, and schedule performance to clients and project leadership. The role promotes site safety, verifies quality and commissioning records, supports audits and inspections, and implements risk mitigations. The assignment is based at the project site in Santa Clara, CA; candidates should be open to relocating there for the duration of the assignment. Mobilization assistance and per diem are offered. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
