Pavilion is seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for site leadership, trade coordination, scheduling, safety, quality, and maintaining project momentum from mobilization through completion. The Lead Commercial Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to proactively resolve field issues, coordinate subcontractors, maintain the project schedule, and deliver a safe, high-quality project on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Proven experience successfully leading commercial construction projects in a Superintendent capacity
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, drawings, specifications, and field coordination
  • Ability to independently manage day-to-day field operations and multiple trades
  • Ability to develop and communicate weekly and monthly work plans
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain schedules, anticipate challenges, and proactively resolve field issues
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and accountability
  • Organized, hands-on leadership style
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project management, field teams, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily on-site construction activities
  • Manage subcontractors, trades, and field personnel
  • Maintain the project schedule and identify potential delays or conflicts
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and reinforce jobsite safety expectations
  • Coordinate trade sequencing, site logistics, and project milestones
  • Partner with the Project Manager on project progress, risks, and field conditions
  • Work with the Project Engineer to ensure submittments, RFIs, and clarifications remain current
  • Monitor workmanship, quality, schedule, and overall jobsite performance
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and photo documentation
  • Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure work is performed according to project requirements
  • Communicate project milestones, challenges, and progress to the project team
  • Lead from the field and establish clear expectations for safety, accountability, quality, and performance
