About The Position

The Lead Combat Systems SME provides expert assessments of Navy combat systems readiness, maintenance programs, and operational effectiveness. This role involves advising ship leadership on readiness risks and corrective actions, and developing technical reports and recommendations. The position is primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Sasebo, Japan; Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
• Extensive experience as STO, CSMM, CSOOW, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting AEGIS and/or SSDS combat systems.
• Maintenance/training staff experience (TYCOM, ISIC, ATG, or equivalent).
• Thorough knowledge of Navy combat systems maintenance processes.
• SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 25+ years highly desirable.
