$81,700 - $136,700Onsite

About The Position

This position is for 2nd shift. As a member of the CAD/CAM team, you will be an active contributor to the factory volume ramp and standardization efforts. The role involves programming, process development, and shop support for large VTLs, VBMs, head-head Gantry 5-axis machines, and multi-purpose turn/grind machines. You will generate and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM or similar software, including multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM. Verification of new CNC programs using Vericut, incorporation of on-machine probing for validation, and creation of programs following standards are key responsibilities. The role also includes providing CNC support to Manufacturing Engineers, training operators, offering daily shop floor support, and supporting tooling & fixturing requirements. You will generate and support workstation instructions and lead process improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Effective communication, teamwork in a matrixed organization, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential.

  • Significant "hands-on" background as a machinist, with the ability to personally setup and prove out complex first-piece programs.
  • A track record of managing tight tolerances on large-format equipment (VTLs/VBMs/etc up to 2.5m) where part deflection, work hardening, and thermal stability are critical factors.
  • Extensive experience machining nickel-based superalloys (Inconel, Rene, Hastelloy, etc.) common in Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) or Aerospace industry.
  • Strong problem solving and organization skills, with above average shop math skills in geometry and trigonometry.
  • Experience using Vericut (preferred) or other CNC verification/machine simulation software.
  • Strong familiarity with multiple machine controls including Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, & Siemens.
  • Demonstrated proficiency interpreting drawing requirements.
  • Experience machining high temperature superalloys found in HDGT or Aerospace components.
