About The Position

This position is for 2nd shift. As a member of the CAD/CAM team, you will be an active contributor to the factory volume ramp and standardization efforts. You will program, develop processes, and provide shop support for large VTLs (up to 2.5m), large VBMs (up to 2.5m), large head-head Gantry 5-axis machines, and large vertical multi-purpose turn/grind machines. You will generate and maintain CNC programs utilizing NX-CAM or other software, which may include multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and/or EDM. Verification of new CNC programs prior to release on the shop floor will be done using Vericut. You will also incorporate on-machine probing using Renishaw cycles for part and process validation, create programs following standards and qualified machining parameters, and provide CNC-related support to Manufacturing Engineers. Operator training during new/rebuilt machine startup and process improvements will be part of your role, as well as daily operator support in the form of CNC programming and troubleshooting. You will support and implement tooling & fixturing requirements, generate and support workstation instructions, and initiate and lead process improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Effective communication with team members, working effectively in a team-based environment within a matrixed organization, and adapting to a fast-paced environment while driving positive change are also key aspects of this role.
