We seek a talented and motivated Lead Cloud Engineer to be part of the Cloud Engineering team and accelerate our efforts to drive trust, agility, and adoption among McKesson business teams. As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will lead the development effort of multiple complex cloud automation features, CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure and applications, cloud-native application blueprints, building automation at scale, and enabling DevOps to application teams. Position Description In this role, you will collaborate with application development teams and cloud and application architects to lead the development of scalable and reliable, fully automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure and applications. Design, build and operate the Integrated Developer Platform (IDP) to accelerate the application delivery using gated CI/CD pipeline templates and build/release automation. Design, implement and strengthen DevOps processes and drive the automation of cloud platforms and the Developer Portal. Leverage programming skills to design and develop DevOps tooling on various infrastructure platforms. Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with peers in Cloud Engineering and the groups in McKesson Technology Organization to plan and implement resource plans effectively across the team.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a Software Engineering or Infrastructure team in a Cloud, PaaS, and DevOps environment.
  • 5+ years of full-stack software development, or SRE experience.
  • 5+ years of DevOps, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory, and app deployment to the Kubernetes.
  • Extensive experience in software engineering, including DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD pipeline, test automation, environment, and configuration automation.
  • Experience in working with cloud computing technologies (MS Azure or GCP) is preferred.
  • Experience in cloud automation, configuration management, and deployment of enterprise-scale infrastructures as code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
  • Proficient knowledge of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications, including relevant data privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with principles of network, application, and information security.

Nice To Haves

  • Software development experience in React, TypeScript, Backstage, Node JS, and JavaScript.
  • Microsoft Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
  • Agile methodology experience and working experience in a scrum team are preferred.
