About The Position

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. The Lead Cloud Architect will provide technical leadership and guidance to cloud engineering teams, ensuring the adoption of best practices in cloud architecture, security, and operations. This position will play a key role in shaping the company's cloud strategy and driving innovation in cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar senior cloud engineering role.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud networking services.
  • Experience with database technologies in the cloud (e.g., RDS, Azure SQL Database, Cloud SQL).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud services.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and architects.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance existing solutions and drive innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in cloud environments.
  • Develop and manage cloud budgets and optimize cloud resource utilization for cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Contribute to the development of the overall cloud strategy and roadmap.
