About The Position

The Lead Clinician coordinates and schedules clinical services for the KYUMH Caminos program. This role oversees the clinical aspects of youth in the Caminos programs and assigned clinicians, ensuring compliance with clinical documentation, human trafficking screening, and state, federal, and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) regulations. The Lead Clinician provides clinical guidance to Case Managers, the Care Team Coordinator, Unit Supervisors, and direct care staff. They participate in and provide professional support in Care Team meetings, advising on mental health issues and trauma-informed, behavioral management interventions. Responsibilities include preparing goal-oriented diagnostic assessments, conducting clinical staff trainings, and program enrichment. The Lead Clinician acts as a direct liaison to the Care Team Coordinator and Program Director, serves on the on-call crisis rotation, and fulfills all tasks of a full-time clinician. This includes conducting mental health assessments, providing individual and group counseling, screening for human trafficking concerns, and offering crisis intervention services. Caseload management involves building a caseload up to 12 clients as secondary clinicians reach their full capacity.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or another relevant behavioral health discipline from an accredited program, university, or college where clinical experience is a program requirement.
  • 2 years of post-graduate direct service delivery experience.
  • Current Independent Licensure - LPCC, LCSW, LMFT or other applicable Kentucky licensure.
  • Experience in supervision.
