About The Position

This is a full-time, salary, exempt position that works Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The role offers flexibility, with weekend availability and on-call duties. Residing Hope is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families in need by empowering them to experience the transforming love of Christ through evidence-based care and holistic services. The organization cares for children in crisis, including those who are abused, abandoned, or neglected, providing love, hope, and a place to live to over 500 children through group homes, foster care, an independent living program, and specialized therapy.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Human Services or related field of study and two (2) plus years' experience in social work, counseling, or related field preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills to successfully perform in this role.
  • Per the Office of Refugee Resettlement, this position is required to have a Master's or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or another relevant behavioral health discipline from an accredited program, university, or college where clinical experience is a program requirement and includes 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience, supervisory experience, and licensed to provide clinical services in the state where the care provider is located.
  • Experience and education must meet Office of Refugee Resettlement Hiring of Key Personnel requirements.
  • Active license in LMFT-LS, LMHC-LS or LMSW-LS, required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in both English and Spanish, required.
  • Ability to provide proof of, obtain, and/or maintain the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) currently required immunizations (which are subject to change per ORR guidance).
  • Proof of Immunizations: 2 doses- Varicella, 2 doses- MMR, 1 dose- Tdap, 1 dose- Influenza
  • Yearly requirement of Influenza and TB testing
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record, required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all clinical staff and operations for the Caminos program.
  • Responsible for the continuation of mental health services for all youth in the program in the absence of other clinical staff.
  • Provide registered intern supervision hours to any registered intern staff in the Caminos program.
  • Conduct intake, admission, and diagnostic assessments, including crisis assessments when needed, with clients, and document results according to Caminos/Residing Hope programs standards to maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Conducts screenings and assessments to identify special needs, developmental, medical, or mental health concerns as well as criminal history, gang involvement, trauma, risk assessments, and/or trafficking-related concerns in accordance with mandated timeframes.
  • Responsible for providing youth with individual counseling sessions at least one time weekly, providing additional support as clinically necessary.
  • Provides crisis intervention and supports.
  • Responsible for ensuring group counseling sessions are provided in the residential milieu at least twice weekly.
  • Facilitate weekly psycho-educational and therapeutic client groups.
  • Responsible to ensure that Line of Sight and Sound Supervision standards are being met at all times while with youth.
  • Works with youth and family/sponsor to establish short-term goals and objectives.
  • Active participation in mandatory case review and planning meetings, demonstrating the ability to present an accurate and concise client summary to both internal and external team members.
  • Complete required documentation and reports within the defined timelines.
  • Act in the capacity as Clinician on Call.
  • Is responsive to staff and residents when there is a need for crisis counseling.
  • Perform all other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
