About The Position

The Lead Clinician oversees clinical services, trains and supervises clinical staff, and ensures that behavioral health specialists complete relevant training on evidence-based practices. This role is responsible for ensuring that child-facing services are provided on-site and confidentially, and for providing treatment to clients of the UC program. The Lead Clinician conducts mental health assessments, provides ongoing individual and group counseling, screens for human trafficking concerns, and offers crisis intervention services. They promote a holistic therapeutic approach, emphasizing the inclusion and empowerment of supportive adults in programming and treatment. This position involves providing oversight at weekly team meetings, collaborating with the Home Supervisor on daily routines and program implementation, and working with Wellness and Education staff to ensure service delivery. The Lead Clinician develops treatment plans, makes clinical decisions regarding client activities, and provides individual and group therapy. They also offer clinical oversight for the development and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu, track client information from intake through aftercare for statistical data, and monitor utilization and outcome data for reporting. Quality assurance compliance, including peer supervision and utilization reviews, is a key responsibility, ensuring adherence to service delivery criteria and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bi-lingual English and Spanish
• Master's or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or another relevant behavioral health discipline from an accredited program, university, or college where clinical experience is a program requirement and includes 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience.
• Valid state licensure, such as LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, or LPC
• Supervisory experience.
• Vaccinations: Varicella (two doses or alternative verification), MMR (two doses or titers), DTaP or DTap (complete primary series and adult booster if applicable), Influenza (single dose annually).

• Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team in a residential treatment setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that behavioral health specialists complete relevant training on evidence-based practices in mental and behavioral health care delivery.
• Ensures that child facing services are provided on-site and in a confidential manner, and for providing treatment to the clients of the UC program.
• Conducts mental health assessments, provides ongoing individual and group counseling services, screens for human trafficking concerns, and provides crisis intervention services.
• Promote a holistic therapeutic approach, with specific attention and support to include supportive adults in programming, engaging supportive adults in treatment, and empowering supportive adults to determine direction for clients and themselves.
• Provide oversight at weekly team meetings and work with the Home Supervisor in overseeing daily routines, program implementation, and establishing a therapeutic milieu.
• Collaborate with the Wellness and Education staff to assure the delivery of services.
• Assist and support all staff within their department in the effective carrying out of their roles and responsibilities.
• Develop treatment plans for each client, working with Education/Life Skills Specialist, Home Supervisor, the client�s Goal Worker, and other staff.
• Make appropriate clinical decisions about activities, groups, and events in which the client should participate.
• Provide individual and group therapy.
• Work closely with the Home Supervisor, providing clinical oversight, in the continued development, monitoring, and staffing of a therapeutic milieu in the program.
• Track information, beginning at intake and admission, through treatment and into aftercare, which becomes part of the statistical data bank of Wedgwood.
• Responsible for tracking and monitoring utilization and outcome data, including quarterly reporting for the all-agency report card.
• Responsible for quality assurance compliance, including but not limited to participating in peer supervision, peer utilization reviews, compliance with service delivery criteria and reporting requirements for each individual served.
• Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee�s roles and functions.
