The Lead Clinician for St. Michael's is responsible for providing individual and group clinical consultation to the clinical staff of St. Michael's (SMHC) and master’s Level interns participating in the program. Also, provides administrative oversight for the clinical responsibilities assigned to the SMHC clinical team, ensuring the timely provision of effective individual and group counseling services to clients. Responsible for monitoring and meeting productivity targets and quality assurance goals. Verifies the SMHC clinical team meets documentation requirements consistently, by reviewing documentation to ensure it is completed thoroughly, correctly, and in a timely manner.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in mental health field, (Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy)
Licensed by the State of Texas and in good standing with the respective board as: License Professional Counselor (LPC), or License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Four (4) years of experience providing direct clinical services in a mental health setting
Two (2) years of leadership experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Valid Texas Driver’s License
Competency providing individual, family, and group counseling services
Experience providing services to the survivors of trauma
Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrates effective interpersonal skills in dealing with a variety of clients, peers, and supervisors in the workplace
Strong verbal and written communication skills, public speaking ability
Clear understanding of cultural sensitivity, trauma informed care and implications for practice
Works with a positive attitude (solution–focused) and exhibits professional behavior at all times
Experience providing presentations and trainings
Successful applicant must comply with federal contractor vaccine mandate requirements.

Responsibilities

Provides individual and group clinical consultation to the clinical staff of SMHC, including master’s Level interns.
Ensures clinical staff and interns participate in and execute abuse risk management responsibilities, as recommended by program stakeholders and state and professional licensing boards.
Actively promotes the clinical team's professional development and adherence to new policies and procedures implemented by program stakeholders.
Offers clinical impressions and recommendations during weekly staffing of cases with treatment team members.
Contributes to the development of discharge plans for clients as they transition out of the St. Michael's Program.
Provides administrative oversight for the responsibilities assigned to the SMHC counseling team, including ensuring productivity and quality assurance targets/goals.
Manages, develops, and updates documentation, tools, and systems used to gather and report on services rendered.
Ensures the SMHC counseling team meets all documentation requirements including completing documentation of client progress within required timeframes; maintaining client records in accordance with regulatory/agency standards.
Completes data entry tasks associated with tracking measurable outcomes and management of staff performance.
Maintains personnel binders with documented supervision notes.
Attends and participates in staff meetings held by SMHC and the Counseling Program.
Attends meetings hosted by the funder.
Provides individual and group counseling and psychoeducational services to children and families in compliance with professional licensing standards, agency standards, accreditation standards, funder requirements, and HIPAA.
Conducts assessments, documenting diagnostic impressions, developing and implementing treatment plans and interventions, assessing risk and safety needs, and providing appropriate referrals as needed.
Participates in on-call rotation for the facility, and routinely attends training opportunities as required by the program and professional license.
Direct clinical services will be provided on an as needed basis.
Maintains own professional licensing requirements.
Provides training and presentations as required by the funder, State Licensing standards, Accreditation standards or in promotion of agency/program initiatives.
Performs other duties as required such as participation in staff retreats, agency fairs and speaking engagements, assists with special agency or program projects/events, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
