About The Position

Our Lead Clinical Nursing Supervisor will assume many of the coordinating functions of the Clinical Supervisor group, including trouble shooting the schedule, representing the supervisors at department and house wide meetings, and coordinating communications with staff and other supervisory groups, inter and intra disciplinary. This role will manage daily clinical nursing operations to ensure the hospital standards and needs are met. The Lead Clinical Nursing Supervisor will be responsible for preparation and evaluation of nursing staff activities and schedules to ensure 24 hour coverage.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years acute care clinical RN experience
  • Knowledge of hospital and nursing policies and procedures, as well as regulatory agency requirements, and establishment of staffing patterns and schedules.
  • Candidate must be able to handle stressful situations, and exercise considerable judgement in applying professional knowledge in solving administrative/operational problems.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
  • New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.

  • Prior house-wide Nursing Supervision experience preferred
  • critical care/emergency nursing experience preferred
  • 2-5+ Years leadership/healthcare management experience preferred
