About The Position

Provides operational leadership to the assigned Clinical Research RN team. Works in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Specialist to develop and implement clinical research nursing practice standards. Collaborates with manager in developing study and visit assignments. Works collaboratively with Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialist to inform and participate in opportunities for quality improvement. Collaborates with internal departments to ensure effective communication and teamwork. Supports training and onboarding of Clinical Research RNs in the proper conduct of research studies collaboratively with Clinical Nurse Specialist and Manager. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within five years of hire. Continued employment by Swedish beyond five years is contingent upon attaining the BSN degree.
  • Current cancer-specific certification in the nurse's specialty by an accredited certification program (such as OCN), or research nursing certification (CRN-BC or equivalent).
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • 2 years of experience in a nursing specialty consistent with the specified research field.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Nurses employed by Swedish prior to December 1, 2012 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
